Jazz without practicing – Metal but clean – Pop with dissonance Music in the human flesh and blood. Made with love and hate. Made for aggressive pacifists who like to eat glass with their salads. Angry, yet gentle and wide-reaching skinny guys skillfully and unintentionally compose acoustic melodies that vibrate erotically in the inner ear. Artful music that intends to empty the languid mind and fill it with progagandhi!
We’re a psychedelic artrock band from Hanover, Germany. Since the beginning of the band in 2017, we have grown from two to seven members in 2024. We’ve been playing quite a lot concerts in very different places. These experiences did not only expand our horizons but also enlarged our enthusiasm.

PURPLE FOAM ist eine Garagenband aus Schwerin und Rostock mit starken Einflüssen aus dem New Wave Punk. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2012 sind sie auf der Suche nach einem schnellen und dreckigen Sound. Vergleichbar mit La femme oder Frustration entwickelten sie eine Symbiose aus Synthie und Gitarre, in Erinnerung an legendäre 1970er Bands wie Joy Division, The Kids oder Angry Samoans. Ihr Stil, den sie als „Pleasurepunk“ bezeichnen, kombiniert unterschiedliche, fast paradoxe Elemente in einem Spektrum zwischen zerbrechlich zart und martialischem Stampfen.
